Tales of the City is an online illustration series created by myself and published in the SVA Online Gallery in 2022. The project is inspired by the novel Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. The series follows the journey of a young protagonist who sets out to uncover the truth behind his father’s death. Although the search does not lead to a definitive answer, the experience becomes a process of emotional reconciliation, particularly in rebuilding his relationship with his mother. Visually, the illustrations use a warm and muted color palette to emphasize intimacy, memory, and emotional connection. The soft tonal language creates a sense of comfort and reflection, leaving the viewer with a quiet yet lasting impression of family and healing.
《Tales of the City》是我于2022年发布在纽约视觉艺术学院(School of Visual Arts)的线上插画系列作品,灵感来源于小说 Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close。
